We have not had any cases of CoronaVirus in either the staff or the residents at our care homes in Weymouth throughout these exceedingly difficult times.
Friary Care have been able to achieve this, by ensuring we have a good stock of personal protective equipment (PPE), by never using agency staff, by scrupulous hygiene and by testing all staff and residents and we will continue this practice with the same rigour as we go forward.
We are very happy to welcome new residents to make their home in one of our two care homes in Weymouth, obviously it is not possible to open our doors to allow you to look round at the moment, but we are very happy to invite you to tour our facilities and meet our staff and those who live with us, using either WhatsApp or Facetime.
It is highly likely that you will have questions and to enable us to answer these, before, during or after the virtual tour please feel free to email us. There is also a great deal of information on our website that may help you, www.friarycare.co.uk or feel free to ring the owner, Peter Fry on 01305 787811
The health, well-being and safety of everyone in our homes is of the utmost importance to us and our primary objective is to keep both our residents and staff as safe as possible. For anyone concerned, we are here to provide support and guidance in addition to short or longer term care packages.
We are following the government advice closely and therefore we have taken the difficult decision to close the home to all visitors until further notice. Necessary visits by medical professionals shall continue along with new residents making Friary Care their home, any exceptional circumstances involving a resident are to be discussed with myself and a proper protocol agreed.
We are keen to keep all other communication channels open with our residents – so please do not stop sending gifts, letters or post-cards to your loved ones. We will also be setting up a Skype account so that you can connect with them online too.
I thank you again for your continued support and understanding. Be reassured that we will continue to monitor and act swiftly on public health advice and I will of course update you in line with any further changes.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me on 01305 78 78 11.
